FAQs

Care for your cheeseboard/cutting board/charcuterie board

To keep your cheeseboard/cutting board/charcuterie board looking nice, we recommend you do not soak it in water.  Clean it with mild soap and water and wipe dry each time you use.  After long use, it will show wear and we recommend you revive it with Walrus Oil Wood Wax for cutting boards.  It is handcrafted with beeswax, coconut oil, pure mineral oil, and vitamin E.  It is available through Amazon and is under $10.00.  DO NOT PUT HOT PANS OR POTS ON YOUR BOARDS.  DO NOT PUT BOARDS IN DISHWASHER.

Clock Instructions

You will need one AA battery to insert in the motor on back of clock.  Move the little button on the motor to set the time.  DO NOT TRY TO SET TIME BY MOVING THE HANDS ON THE FRONT OF THE CLOCK.

Tailor’s Clappers

Congratulations on your new Tailor’s Clapper.  You steam press your seam and then lay the clapper on the seam and leave for about 30 seconds. The weight of the clapper cools the seam, resulting in a very crisp well-pressed seam. You will notice a big difference in your finished seams and your blocks by using the clapper.  After you have used your clapper for some time, it may become a little rough due to the reaction of the steam in your iron and the bare wood.  Just take a very fine sandpaper (recommend 320 grit) and sand the rough spots.  It will be as good as new.
